159 New Homes – One Bespoke Rainwater System

A major residential development is taking shape on the site of the former Adur Civic Centre in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex – with Guttercrest supplying the Aluminium rainwater system.

The redevelopment includes two buildings ranging from three to nine storeys, with 159 new homes and commercial units on the ground floor.

Guttercrest has been manufacturing and supplying Aluminium Rainwater Products for the development since early 2025. The system includes 100mm round downpipes, large rectangular hoppers, bends and branch fittings, all finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey to complement the darker architectural features throughout the development.

Several of the downpipe systems collect rainwater from multiple balcony levels, with branch fittings carefully configured to create a practical solution that integrates neatly with the building’s design.

Manufactured in-house at our 300,000 sq ft facility in Shropshire, the products have been supplied progressively as work on the development has continued.

Our Aluminium downpipes and hoppers are available in a wide choice of profiles, sizes and finishes to suit individual project requirements. You can choose from the full range of RAL and BS colours, alongside heritage textured, metallic and anodised finishes, with special colour matching also available.
